Problem Statement

Operational and financial reports must be pulled from the source systems, assembled, and distributed on a schedule, and building them by hand consumes analyst time and delays the work that depends on them. Client invoices are a monthly recurring example: the invoice has to be generated, emailed to the client with the attachment, and the account annotated so there's a record the bill went out. When this runs late or a step is skipped, billing to the client slips and there's no clean audit trail of what was sent.

Automation Solution

This automation generates monthly client invoices via Epic Reporting Workbench, emails the invoice with attachment, and posts a comment on the client's Hospital Account Record (HAR) once the email is sent.
