When a provider places an order for a service the patient never schedules, that order doesn't close itself; it sits active in an Epic workqueue indefinitely. Over time these unscheduled orders accumulate, cluttering the workqueue with stale entries that no longer represent real, actionable work and making it harder for staff to see the orders that still need attention. For Radiology, orders sitting in the Radiant modality workqueues beyond 13 months are no longer actionable and should be cleared so staff aren't sorting current orders out from long-dead ones.
