Restraint use is one of the most tightly regulated areas of inpatient care, with specific requirements for orders, monitoring, and documentation, so these charts have to be audited promptly to confirm compliance and protect patient safety. Reviewing each restrained patient's chart manually is time-sensitive, detailed work, and an audit that lags leaves potential documentation or compliance gaps unseen on exactly the population where they matter most.
