For an admit-through-discharge review, that means reading every day the patient was on the unit, not just a snapshot, so the volume of reading scales with census and length of stay. This is labor-intensive work that pulls clinical reviewers away from other duties, and when audits fall behind, the organization loses its near-real-time view of documentation and care-standard compliance.

Automation Solution

This automation runs the daily Epic report for in-scope units, reads the patient data for each day the patient is on the unit to complete the chart audit form, and uploads the completed audits to SharePoint.
