Problem Statement

When a patient misses an appointment, a no-show letter has to be generated in their primary language and routed for mailing, then logged as sent. Producing these manually across departments is high-volume, repetitive work, and a missed letter means the patient isn't prompted to reschedule needed care.

Automation Solution

This automation identifies missed appointments across departments in Epic, generates a no-show letter encounter in the patient's primary language, saves it as a PDF to a network folder for mailing, and updates the follow-up report once each letter is sent.
