Problem Statement

Member records need a Medical Record Number to be complete in the claim system, but some come through without one. Until the MRN is populated, those records sit incomplete, and resolving them takes a coordinated handoff: the gaps have to be pulled into a clean file, sent to the MRN department to work, loaded into Facets, and the enrollment team told it's done. Assembling and routing that file by hand each time is repetitive clerical work, and when it lags the records stay incomplete and the teams downstream are left waiting.

Automation Solution

This automation prepares a cleaned export of member records missing Medical Record Numbers (MRNs), saves it to the CMS MRN folder for the MRN department to process, and notifies the enrollment team once the records are loaded into Facets.
