Problem Statement

Scheduling and appointment management is high-volume and time-sensitive, and handling each request manually consumes staff time and leaves slots unfilled or follow-ups missed. Mobile-clinic vaccine signups are captured in QuickBase, outside the EMR, so each one has to be matched to the right patient in Epic before registration and scheduling can happen - and at clinic volume, manual matching is slow and risks creating duplicate or mismatched records. Until each signup is reconciled into Epic, the appointment can't be booked and the encounter can't be billed.
