Problem Statement

When a provider places an order for a service the patient never schedules, that order doesn't close itself; it sits active in an Epic workqueue indefinitely. Over time these unscheduled orders accumulate, cluttering the workqueue with stale entries that no longer represent real, actionable work and making it harder for staff to see the orders that still need attention. For Physical and Occupational Therapy, orders that have aged beyond the defined threshold should be cleared so the active queue reflects only orders still worth pursuing.

Automation Solution

This automation identifies Physical Therapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) orders in Epic workqueues that have aged beyond the defined threshold and moves them from the active tab to the removed tab.
