Availity Update: I was just speaking with a member about their Trusted Partner Agreement with Availity. They shared two pieces of information that I thought would be beneficial to the community:
1. API pricing - Some APIs, for example the Advanced Claim Status APIs, actually require several API calls to get the information you need (or might expect to get with 1 API call). Not only does this increase the complexity of build (slightly) but it also impacts the price-for-value argument. The Trusted Partner Agreements come with a per API call price (and a monthly minimum), so you would be charged 3x, in the case of Advanced Claim Status, for the value you were anticipating to get with 1 API call.
2. Advanced Claim Status Payers - "Look at the payers very closely". Availity has only two major payers live on their Advanced Claim Status API (e.g., BCBS and Humana). In this instance, they are actually losing some volume (although gaining stability and speed) by switching off of RPA and onto the API.
